Electrical test and wiring record sheets
Meter readings, connector maps and wire traces, recorded on paper where they belong.
There is no universal wiring colour standard on these machines, and every widely circulated colour chart we have examined disagrees with at least one other. So these sheets do not tell you what your wires mean. They give you a method with a meter and somewhere to write down what you find, which is the only record that is definitely about your machine.
GY6 wiring colour and continuity notes sheetThere is no universal wiring colour standard on these machines. This sheet records the one your machine actually uses.TSP-EL-01 · 3 pp
Battery and charging system test sheetThree voltage readings diagnose most electrical faults on these machines. Two thresholds are sourced; the rest is direction of change.TSP-EL-02 · 3 pp
Scooter starter clicks but will not turn overOne mechanical check first, then three electrical ones. The click itself tells you more than most people realise.TSP-EL-03 · 2 pp
Scooter fuse record and circuit mapWhat fuse protects what, on a machine whose wiring diagram does not match anybody else's. Plus the blade fuse colours, from the manufacturers' datasheets.TSP-EL-04 · 3 pp
GY6 CDI connector pinout — map your ownMap your own connector with a meter, because there is no universal pinout and every chart you will find contradicts another.TSP-EL-05 · 3 pp
Scooter earth and ground connection checklistA corroded earth produces the same symptoms as a dead ignition component, and costs nothing to fix. Check these before buying anything.TSP-EL-06 · 3 pp
Testing a scooter stator and regulator without a spec sheetOpen, shorted, or plausible. Three states that need no reference figure and catch most real failures.TSP-EL-07 · 2 pp
