Corrections, additions and questions

This registry is assembled from a messy federal record, and some of it is a judgement call. If something here is wrong, it should be fixed — and the correction gets credited.

Nothing here is stored on this site and there is no mailing list. An email address is only used to reply to you.

What is most useful to receive

A correction to the data
Tell us the page, what it says, and what it should say. A photograph of the emission label or the VIN plate settles most questions immediately.
An emission label location
The guide to finding the label is search guidance, not a manufacturer specification. If yours was somewhere not listed, send the make, model, year and where you found it.
A missing VIN prefix
Only prefixes matched to a factory with confidence are published. If your VIN starts with three characters that are not in the table, send them with the machine's badge and year.
A factory merge we got wrong
Every merge decision is published with its reasoning. If two entries should be one, or one should be two, say which and why.
A brand that is missing entirely
The registry only covers machines certified with the EPA. If yours is absent it may never have been certified, but it is worth checking.

What this site cannot help with

Whether a specific part will fit. Nobody can answer that remotely on these machines, which is the whole reason the measuring gauges exist. Measure the part you have.

Valuing your machine, or selling it. There is no marketplace here and no plans for one.

Supplying parts. This registry holds no stock and takes no orders. Its job ends at telling you what you own and which machines are worth comparing against.

Trade and press

The underlying data is public and free to reuse. If you want the reconciled version rather than the raw federal files, say so and what you need it for. The method is documented in full.
