The problem it solves
Bolt patterns with an odd number of studs cannot be measured across two opposite holes, because there is no hole opposite. Three and five stud patterns are common on small ATVs and go-karts, and the usual method silently gives the wrong answer.

How to use it
- 01Check the calibration rule with a steel rule. On this sheet more than any other, a scaled print gives a wrong answer that looks right.
- 02Lay the wheel face down on the template and line the centre bore up with the centre mark.
- 03Read where the stud holes fall.
