Wheel bolt pattern overlay
Bolt patterns on Chinese ATVs and UTVs follow a small number of common pitch-circle diameters, and the difference between two of them can be five millimetres. This overlay settles it without arithmetic.
Set scaling to 100% or Actual size. Never “Fit to page”.
How to use this sheet
- Print at 100% and check the calibration bar measures exactly 100mm.
- Take the wheel off and clean the mounting face of the hub.
- Hold the sheet flat against the hub with the centre cross of one pattern sitting over the axle centre.
- Rotate the sheet until the printed holes sit over the studs. When all four line up, that is your pattern.
- Write it down as holes × PCD — for example 4 × 137 — because that is how wheels are listed.
The pattern is not the whole fitment
A wheel with the correct bolt pattern can still be the wrong wheel. Three other dimensions decide whether it will actually go on and turn freely:
- Centre bore. The hole in the middle of the wheel has to clear the hub spigot. Too small and the wheel will not seat.
- Offset. How far the mounting face sits from the wheel centreline. Wrong offset pushes the tyre into the swingarm or the bodywork.
- Stud thread and seat shape. Conical, flat or spherical seats are not interchangeable; a conical nut on a flat seat holds on almost nothing.
Why so many patterns exist on these machines
Chinese ATVs and UTVs are assembled from whichever hub, brake and wheel package the builder sourced, and different assemblers using the same engine factory frequently used different running gear.
