The problem it solves
The moment a part is fitted it usually stops being returnable, and the moment it is fitted is also when most people first compare it properly against the old one. Doing that comparison on the bench, in writing, takes five minutes and is the difference between a refund and a shelf full of wrong parts.
Who it is for
- Anyone who has just taken delivery of a part
- People buying used parts where the seller's description was thin
- Anyone who has already been sent the wrong thing once
What is on it
- A side-by-side dimension comparison table
- Fastener, connector and rotation checks
- A decision block: fit it, return it, or ask the seller first
- A record of the order in case you do have to claim
How to use it
- 01Do this before you fit anything, with both parts on the bench.
- 02Compare like with like: an old part is worn, so small differences in wearing surfaces are expected and differences in mounting features are not.
- 03If anything in the mounting or connector rows differs, stop and ask the seller before fitting.
