What this lookup can and cannot tell you
It can tell you which factory in China actually built your engine, which model years that arrangement covered, what displacement was certified, which model designations the importer filed, and which other American brands were selling machines with engines from the same factory at the same size.
It cannot tell you that a part will fit. The federal record covers engines and emissions. It says nothing about which supplier made the CDI box, the variator, the brake shoes or the wiring loom, and Chinese assemblers change those suppliers between production runs — sometimes within one model year. Treat a shared factory as a shortlist of machines worth measuring, never as a fitment guarantee.
