What the Jonway Motorcycle (Usa) filings say about the engines
Every Jonway Motorcycle (Usa) filing on record is carburetted — 32 certificate rows, 2006 to 2012, and not one fuel-injected engine among them.
The engine codes on Jonway Motorcycle (Usa)'s test vehicles —4 distinct across the filings — are led by JNYC-244-2006, JNY-HMC-050, JNY-150-2006 and 1E40QMB. The code is stamped on the crankcase and is a better search term than the badge.
18 of the 32 filings are 50-state (California-legal); the other 14 were 49-state only.
Rated power across the range runs from 2.5 kW to 208 kW (about 3 to 279 hp).
The vehicle builders named are JONWAY GROUP CO LTD, Zhejiang Jonway Motorcycle Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Jonway Group Co., Ltd. and ZHEJIANG JONWAY MOTORCYCLE MFG CO LTD and others — the chassis and the engine do not always share a source.
Each figure is read straight off the EPA certificate rows; the per-family pages below carry the full breakdown for every engine family.
